Actor. Writer. Theatre-maker. Panic MA-er. Yoga teacher. Sapling activist. During lockdown, in an unexpected homage to one of Allison Janney's finest performances, I was a secondary school librarian - extraordinary times.

I was educated at The Royal Masonic School for Girls and Uppingham School, read English at UCL, joined the remarkable Oval House Youth Theatre (Roy Alexander Weise, Stef O’Driscoll, Zephryn Taitte, Jo Nastari Ellis) run by Nicholai La Barrie, picked up a Masters in Shakespeare, trained at The Poor School (while working in publishing), and studied Clown with Philippe Gaulier in the outskirts of Paris. I love a course and have had joyful, informative, times at Yale, The Second City, RADA, and the National University of Ireland, Galway. In 2019, I gave a lecture on The Witch In (and just outside) Irish Drama at The University of Tübingen, Germany.

I'm a co-founder of the sketch collective, The Beautiful Idiots, and practise improvisation comedy with the Free Association and my troops, Foliage, How’s You and Unbridled (we improvise brand new Jilly Cooper novels). I'm also a member of the excellent Clerkenwell Actors Studio and perform cue-scripted Shakespeare plays with Shake-scene Shakespeare. In 2021 I was a member of the Town Hall Theatre Playwrights Group 2021 led by Christian O'Reilly. In February 2024, my improv comedy team, Ensemblé won the FA’s 2024 Cage Match.

SPOTLIGHT
